Good Afternoon, Fellow Quilters!

Okay, I'm not a quilter because I have no thumbs. But I love quilts and quilters!

Gosh! I can't believe it's Fall already.  Not that with all my fur I'm complaining about the cooler nights and days. I did enjoy having air conditoning, though. Mom had it installed in the house last Fall and I sure did appreciate it this past Summer. I do love to lay in the sun and get all my bones warmed up.

One day late last week, we went to work and noticed some leaves starting to fall from the trees in our front yard.  When we came home that evening, it looked like the trees had given up and just dropped about 1/2 their leaves in the yard. That was a rude awakening of what's about to come.

Enough about me. Let's get onto what's happening around the Shop.

First, this weekend is the Endless Mountain Quilt Guild Quilt Show at the Athens Elementary School. Saturday & Sunday from 10-4. It's $5.00 admission. Don't forget to go down the hallways because the quilts are not only in the gym but down the hallway towards the dining hall.  There will be tasty food & homemade desserts served in the dining hall. Plus, vendors will be set up in the dining hall. The Quilt Lady Stories is usually performed in the dining hall, as well.

P.S. Don't use the student bathrooms unless you use the buddy system.  The toilets are really low to the ground. You may not be able to get back up.

Second, We will NOT  be having Demo Day in October. We have a lot going on this month & aren't able to fit into the schedule.

Third, Mom & Grandma are going away October 7th-14th.  Mom will not be taking in any sewing machines for service until after October 14th.  Between getting ready for the Quilt Show this week and playing catch up on sewing machine services next week, she's just running out of time. After October 14th, it's back to normal.

October 18th- November 1st, we will be participating in the "Baker's Dozen" Fall Shop Hop.

Passports are $5.00.

Collect free fabric & recipes and enter into drawings at each of the participating shops. We picked an old family receipe from our family's receipe collection.

Remember, if you win a gift certificate at one of the shops, you must pick up your gift certificate at that shop within the time frame designated by the shop.  Gift certificates will not be mailed to you.  There are 13 participating shops.

As you can see, there's a lot going on in October.

The really big fabric news in the Shop is:

TULA PINK HAS ENTERED THE BUILDING!

We have some new Christmas fabrics in the Shop.

New Marcus Fabrics

3 new guys themed panels are here. New blender colors are on the shelves.

Large spools of Gutermann thread are being put out on the floor as I write the newsletter.

New counted cross stitch kits and patterns have just arrived.

We would like to thank everyone who has filled out a survey.  This will help in deciding what products you're looking for.  We understand the prices of everything have skyrocketed and are doing are best to keep them as low as we can and to stock what you are looking for.

I think I've covered everything.

Stay dry this week.  We are supposed to get some much needed rain for the rest of the week.  It's suppose to clear up on Saturday.  Just in time for the quilt show.

Grandma, Mom & Uncle Scott hope to see you at the quilt show this weekend.

Scott is running the shop on Saturday, Grandma & Mom are at the show on Saturday.

Grandma is doing a demo on easy Flying Geese on Saturday.

Mom will be at the show all weekend.

I will be home, relaxing on the sofa. Unless, I can convince my human brother to take me with him on whatever venture he's on.

Keeping you in Stitches,

Obi the Wonder Dog
