It's been a very busy couple of weeks for us.

First, we had a fun day celebrating National Jelly Roll Day with everyone who came.  We would like to say a big "THANK YOU!!" to everyone who came to our National Jelly Roll Day celebration. We hope all of you had as much fun as we did.

Congratulations to our Door Prize Winners!

This week we have been getting ready for the Endless Mountain Quilt Guild Quilt Show.
We will be a vendor at the Quilt Show.
The EMQG Quilt Show is this weekend, September 29 & 30, 2018.
The hours of are 10am-4pm both Saturday and Sunday.
It is being held at the Lynch-Bustin Elementary School in Athens, PA

You can check out their website for directions at: https://emqg.org/

We also have Google Maps directions on our website calendar at: https://www.friendshipstarquiltshop.com/module/events.htm?pageComponentId=1840218&month=current

Grandma & I will be running the Shop while Mom and Denise are at the Quilt Show.
As usual, I'm not allowed to go to the quilt show and help Mom.
Mom says dogs are not allowed.  I think she's fibbing...

We have special hours for the EMQG Quilt Show.
Saturday: 10am-4pm
Sunday: 10am-3pm

Print Concepts new Farmall panel and two coordinating fabrics have arrived recently.  They are plowing their way out the door since they came in.

I haven't gotten any photos yet of our newest arrival yet.
Northcott's new patriotic panel and some coordinating fabrics arrived yesterday and Grandma is still trying to put them in the computer.
There is even a free pattern download for this panel. We will be making up a sample of the free pattern in the next few weeks.
We're going to need a couple of weeks to recover from being so darn busy before anyone gets a chance to make a sample.
You can check out the free pattern at:http://www.northcott.com/pattern-detail.aspx?patternid=4887&collectionid=2230

I will get an email out with the photos of the new collection. When the sample is finished, I will get a photo out showing it off.

Since it's the beginning of a new month, it's also time for our Free Pattern and Demo Day.
Free Pattern and Demo Day will be on Saturday, October 6, starting at 10 am.
We will have light refreshments and a Door Prize.

In October we will be hosting a Vintage Restoration Class by Sew Purty Workshop on Saturday, October 27th & Sunday, October 28th.
The class will be taught by Ray & Sherri Elkins from Murray, KY.
Ray has spent the past 35+ years restoring vintage sewing machines.
Ray & Sherri travel all around the United States teaching people how to restore vintage sewing machines.
You will have to provide your own vintage sewing machine to restore.
The fee is $300.
Lunch will be provided both days.
Here is the link for more information and to sign up:

Check out their website for workshop photos and learn more about Ray and Sherri.
We hope some of you will sign up for Ray's class.
He is well known in vintage sewing machines circles for his extensive knowledge on restoring vintage sewing machines.

Grandma has been bringing her little dog, Moda, into the Shop.
Moda has been pestering me, stealing my bones and my bed.
I get back at her by stealing her treats.
She is easily distracted.
You have to watch her, she likes to steal anything within her reach.
Fortunately, she doesn't have a very long reach.
You may want to keep your purse closed and guard it closely. She's been known to steal things out of purses. So far, she's gotten a couple of pens, and a set of keys.
She's a cute, lovable little pup but she can be a real stinker sometimes.
But, she's not a cute and lovable as me!!!

Have a great Halloween and October.
I hate to see the warm weather start to fade.
I hope it's a dry Fall.
I don't know about you, but, I'm really sick of the rain.  I may have Lab in me but I didn't inherit webbed toes. I got Husky toes.

That's all for this newsletter.
I hope to see you this weekend for the Quilt Show weekend and next weekend for the Free Pattern and Demo Day.
I need some belly rubs.  I'm not getting enough.

Keeping you in Stitches,
Obi the Wonder Dog, Moda the Bandit, Maryanne & Mary Lou
