April Newsletter
Hi everyone!
The Crocus are blooming and the Daffodils, Tulips & other spring flowers are peeking up out of the ground.
Most of the snow from a couple of weeks ago is gone, too.
Now that most of the snow is gone, it's time for some more snoozing than playing.
I loved playing in all that snow! One spot in the backyard at the Shop was thigh high on Mom. I jumped into that high snow and disappeared. That was fun! I bounded and disappeared over and over that day.
The snow was up to my belly in most places in the backyard. I miss playing in all that snow.
I helped Mom plow snow on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. I also supervised her shoveling the sidewalks several times.
Tuesday morning we had made some pretty high snow piles!
By Thursday, the snow piles where as high as the camper you see in the picture.
I bet all of you got lots of UFO's done.
Now on to what's new around the Shop.
We had a man come into the Shop last week. He has an Alpaca Farm in Windham Center. He has Alpaca yarn, raw fiber and rovings ( I think I've got that right) for sale. If you or someone you know knits, spins or does other crafts with the mentioned wool, stop in and we will give you the man's telephone number.
We also have some new fabrics!
Northcott Fabrics "A Stitch In Time" Collection is here.
This is the idea Mom came up with on how to use this collection. Grandma made them.
Stop in and see them in person. The photos don't do them justice.
We have some great camping and outdoor collections perfect for a camper, cabin or cottage quilts.
And even though we still have a month or so before the Hummingbirds start visiting our feeders, we have some beautiful Hummingbirds here in the Shop! Mom and Grandma love Hummingbirds. They have feeders at home and even one here at the Shop.
April 21-23, 2017, we will be at the Piecemaker Quilters of Elmira Quilt Show at the National Soaring Museum on Harris Hill in Elmira, NY.
For more information check out the following link:

It's a really great show. The quilts are beautiful, the gliders are really cool and you can even watch gliders take off and land on the landing strip right next to the museum. Plenty to keep the non quilter(s) you drag along entertained.
The gliders aren't as entertaining or cool as me but they are still pretty cool.
We will still be open regular hours here at the Shop during the Quilt Show.
Grandma will be out of the Shop from April 4-15th. So we had to reschedule some of our April classes.
