OCTOBER NEWSLETTER
Happy Halloween, everyone!
As most of you know, Mom & Grandma P. had a booth at the Endless Mountain Quilt Guild Quilt Show this past weekend. Mom & Grandma P. said there were lots of beautiful quilts and the Bed Turning was great. I wouldn't know. I couldn't go. Mom said dogs aren't allowed in the school, so I had to stay home on Saturday while Mom & Lou Everson manned the booth. Grandma P. manned the shop with her friend, Donna Detrick & our cousin, Charlene Chacona on Saturday. BUT!!! I got to go with Mom to the Shop on Sunday. Grandma P. & cousin Elizabeth manned the booth. Mom, Aunt Penney, Uncle Scott, cousin Emmie & me ran the Shop on Sunday. I had lots of fun playing with my cousin Emmie & getting head scratches from the customers.
We recently got in Quilting Treasure "Take A Stand" Collection. It's a No Bully Zone fabric to help promote anti-bullying. We are giving educators & other school staff 15% Off with School ID. If you are a school employee or know someone who is, stop in, pick up some "Take A Stand" fabric & make something for your classroom, office or cafeteria. Help take a stand against bullying! Make your work area Bully-Free!

We need to move out the old fabric to make room for new fabrics! We have lots of new fabric & no where to put it!
We have on display, 1 quilt & 2 afghans that will be raffled off to help the Endless Mountain Dance Center to send some students to Walt Disney World to dance in Downtown Disney & take a class with a professional Disney dancer.
We have raffle tickets available here at the Shop. Tickets are $2.00 each.
Our own granddaughter/niece/cousin Elizabeth has been chosen to go to perform at WDW with the Endless Mountain Dance Center in February 2014.
I'm sure most of you know Liz. She's here after school almost everyday & on Saturdays. She's really good at belly rubs, scratches(if your a dog) and hugs. She's also has a box of Gertrude Chocolate Bars on the cutting table she's selling for Endless Mountain Dance Center. Mom & Grandma says they're so very good. I wouldn't know, chocolate is toxic to dogs. Too bad they don't make dog treats.
Do you know a little darling who loves the movie, Frozen? Well stop on in! As well as the in-stock and pre-order Frozen fabric, we also have precut fusible snowflakes! The snowflakes are from Accuquilt. They have been featured in Fons & Porter's Frozen quilt. We have cut and packaged the fusible snowflakes for you in packs of 6. They would also look lovely on a winter quilt project.
I would like to tell you about "Molly's Mission". Molly's Mission is my favorite local charity.
Molly's Mission was started by Karen Garrity of Furry Friends Inn to help a lab named Brandon to get a doggie wheelchair. They were able to successfully raise enough money to get Brandon his very own doggie wheelchair. They raised more money than they needed for Brandon's doggie wheelchair. She and her staff have continued "Molly's Misson" with the money leftover from Brandon's wheelchair & with more money that has since been donated to help families with expenses for their fur kids needing expensive surgery, prosthetics, and other medical needs.
The staff at Furry Friends Inn is getting ready for a fundraiser at the end of October. We will be donating a gift certificate & some other goodies to help out. Currently, they are raising money for a family whose Great Dane needs some surgery. Any leftover money will be added to Molly's Mission fund to help future families.
We will be donating 10% of our animal fabric sales for the month of October to Molly's Mission. We would love to present them with a nice check at the fundraiser. Now is the time to fill your stash with some animal fabric. Mom says I can go & give them the check!
When Mom & Grandma go away, my aunt, brother, sisters and I stay at Furry Friends Inn. We all love to go stay with Karen and her staff. They are really nice & love to play with doggies.

Grandma P. wants to dress me up as a hot dog for Halloween.
Mom was thinking about letting me dress up as Yoda. This is me in my Yoda costume:
Mom dressed my sister, Chardonay, up as Yoda for our Mountain Home magazine ad. Chardonay, while still dressed up as Yoda, jumped the fence & ran all over the neighborhood with her Yoda ears on. Mom was not amused. She said the neighbors probably think she's completely off her rocker, having a dog that wears Yoda ears. She also jumped the fence & ran all over the neighborhood with her pink t-shirt on, too. Mom wasn't too happy then, either. Chardoany told me she does it just to embarrass Mom. Here's what she looked like as Yoda:
As you can see, there's lots going on at the Shop this month. We always have lots of new fabric coming in.
We now carry a small collection of Homespun, some of the homespun is really soft flannel on one side & regular homespun on the other. It's like getting 2 fabrics for 1 price. We also have some Minky in stock, as well. There's always something new coming in, just about everyday. Mom & Grandma P. are getting behind again with so much new fabric coming in. If you don't find just what you need on the shelf, just tell Mom what your looking for. She may have just what you need in the "fabric storage room". I don't go in there too often. It's kinda scary for a puppy in there.
It's time for this puppy to go play with his cousins now. Have a Happy Halloween! This little goblin can't wait for his first Halloween. Mom says it's great fun! Bye for now.
