I can't believe it's time for the August newsletter. Didn't I just send out July's newsletter? Summer goes by way too fast.
What is new at the Shop, you ask?
Our Christmas fabric is starting to arrive. We have a panel with 2 big, cute Christmas stockings on it, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is 50 yrs old this year. To celebrate Rudolph's birthday, we have a panel with medium and small stocking, a panel with rectangle scenes, and fabric with Rudolph & his friends. Frosty the Snowman is here. Moda has some great country Christmas fabrics. We have happy snowmen, snowflakes (more arriving), ornaments, etc.
We added additional lighting in the Showroom, making it so very bright! You can see all of our fabrics much better than at the old Shop. Customers are finding it easier to see & are finding fabrics they didn't realize we had before.
We are enjoying our new "digs". There is so much more room, lighting & most importantly of all...NO PARKING METERS! We have a big parking lot, you can browse and shop at your leisure without the worry of a parking ticket. Stop in for a visit!
Here's a look at the quilts we have on display in our gallery. They are made by our customers.
This beautiful wall hanging was created by Donna Detrick of Sayre, PA. She used her scraps to make this lovely wall hanging. The outside border is hand appliqued using more of her scraps.
This beautiful class reunion quilt was made by Cecelia Doher of Athens High School Bulldogs in Athens, PA. The yellow squares have the names of classmates who have passed on. She used everyone's senior photos on the sides, top, & bottom.
This beauty is the Rock Star Quilt made by Deb Cole of Waverly, NY. She used a combination of batiks and non batik fabrics in her quilt. It turned out amazing.
This is a quilt on loan from Northcott Fabrics. This quilt is made with the new Elements fabrics coming out this Fall. We will be stocking some of these fabrics. I forgot which ones. It will be a surprise.
If you would like to display one of your quilts or wall hangings in our Gallery, we would be happy to do so. We have set up our center room as a gallery to display our customers' works of art.
We have some dates for you to mark on your calendar.
We will be closed on the following dates in August & September:
Saturday, August 9th.
Saturday, August 30- Monday, September 1st.
I will send out another newsletter in the next couple of days with more updates on what's happening around the Shop. I'm sure you don't want to spend all day or night at the computer reading our newsletter. I try to keep them short for that reason.
Now, that we're getting more settled into our new Shop, we will getting back into our routine of sending out more frequent newsletters.
Enjoy you summer, quilters!
