Fabric Challenge Is Back
Hi Friends.
Sorry to send you yet another email.
But I forgot to put in the newsletter about the Fabric Challenge for October.
Now, that the weather is getting cooler, I thought it's time, once again, to start our Fabric Challenge for Quilting Season.
You can pick up your fabric swatches between Monday, Sept. 23rd to Saturday, Sept. 28. Fabric Challenge Project size is still no smaller that 24" x 24" & no bigger than 30" x30".
Your Fabric Challenge Project will be due Saturday, October 26th.
Voting will be from Monday, October 28th to Thursday, October 31st.
For those of you who are not familiar with our Fabric Challenge. We will be handing out 2 random swatches of fabric that are approximately 3"x5" during the pick up dates. Your challenge is to incorporate the 2 swatched you are given into a small wallhanging. You may add up to 4 more fabrics to the wallhanging.
On the due date, we hang the finish wallhanging up for display. Customers, friends & family come it (one vote per day) to vote on thier favorite wallhanging.
On the final day of voting, we tally the votes. The top 3 winners get a prize.
It's free to pick up the swatches & to enter your finished wallhanging.
The object of the Fabric Challenge is to encourage quilters to think outside the box. Many times, you get colors or patterns that you would never pick out yourself. It's a fun way to creatively challenge yourself.
We will have the rules and dates here for you at the Shop to pick up.
