Friendship Star Quilt Shop, owned and operated by a mother / daughter / son team, has been serving the quilting community of Sayre, Pennsylvania, since September 2012.

After discussing the possibility of opening a quilt shop for about 5 or 6 years, Maryanne told her Mom, Mary Lou, that she was ready to be her own boss and open a quilt shop. Mary Lou enthusiastically replied, "OK, Let's do it!"  Within 2 months, the pair had opened their brick and mortar shop...and they haven't looked back since!

Mary Lou has been quilting for over 30 years, makes most of the store samples and teaches the majority of the classes at the shop. Maryanne takes care of the day-to-day business, bringing humor and good natured teasing with her. She also knows a fair amount about  quilting from growing up around it.Maryanne is also services sewing machines.

Scott joined the duo, turning it into a trio in 2022. Scott is a magician with color selections.  Our local quilt guild calls him the Fabric Whisper. If your stuck on selecting colors, he can help.  Scott also has been bitten by the quilting bug and has made almost all of the samples in the Shop. Like his sister, he bring humor and good natured teasing to the Shop.

All 3 feel fortunate to work in such a creative industry where they spend their days associating with fun, friendly quilters!  They are very dedicated to offering the highest level of service and individualized attention to each of their customers.
